Born in Istanbul in 1970. She completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul and graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1993. She became a Child Health and Diseases (Pediatrics) specialist in 2000 and completed Pediatric Hematology-Oncology specialization at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2006. She fulfilled her compulsory service at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital.
Appointed Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2017, she has since served as a faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. She has more than 100 national and international publications. Her special interests include hemostasis, thrombosis, anemia, and leukemias.
