Prof. Elad Schiff began his medical studies in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), including reflexology, shiatsu, acupuncture (NCCAOM Dipl.), and hypnosis. Concurrently he studied conventional medicine, receiving Cum Laude from Hadassah Faculty of Medicine for his BSc and Cum Laude for his MD thesis at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. After residency in Internal Medicine at Bnai Zion Medical Center, he completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
In 2010 he opened the Integrative Medicine Services at Bnai Zion Medical Center, providing CAM treatments across hospital departments, including for in-patients with complicated acute conditions. He directs Internal Medicine B and Integrative Medicine Services at Bnai-Zion Medical Center and is Associate Professor at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. He has conducted numerous studies on CAM in the hospital setting and published extensively in high-impact journals on integrating CAM into hospitals. He also chairs the Israeli Society for CAM and Integrative Medicine at the Israeli Medical Association.
