Prof.Baser is among the group of scientists who named five new plant species and identified two plant species as a new record for the flora of Turkey.
He wrote three Turkish books with Prof. Dr. N. Kirimer [Farmakognozi ve Fitoterapi (2021), Araştırma Sonuçlarının Ardındaki Hikayeler (2025), Tıbbi ve Aromatik Bitkiler (2025)]. He is the co-editor of the Handbook of Essential Oils (3 editions).
