He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. He became Internal Medicine Specialist (1999), Medical Oncology Specialist (2001), Associate Professor (2006) and Professor of Medical Oncology (2013). In 2016 he led the establishment of the Medical Oncology Clinic at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. He continues academic work at Istinye University and practices integrative oncology with complementary therapies in Istanbul.
His research focuses on in vitro cancer cell lines, with 100+ publications. He trained in phytotherapy (2006, 2016), hypnosis (2007), complementary hyperthermia in Germany (2016) and ozone therapy (2017). He developed a turmeric–black pepper–cinnamon liquid extract (technological product certificate) and patented a nanotechnological curcumin/piperine product. Books include Which Plant Which Cancer?, The Full Healing, and The Power of Plants in Cancer Treatment. He served on the MoH GETAT Scientific Advisory Board (2018–2023), is founding president of the Phytotherapy Association, and is an ESMO and ICHS board member.
