After graduating from Anadolu University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1992, she began working as a researcher at the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Center and has pursued her academic career at the Faculty of Pharmacy since 1995. She has nearly 500 research articles in indexed journals, as well as conference papers, book chapters, and patents. In addition to her academic work, she has held various administrative roles and served as Vice Rector of Anadolu University between 2020 and 2024.

She currently continues her academic work at Anadolu University Faculty of Pharmacy on the identification, characterization, and applications of herbal medicines and therapeutics from natural sources, particularly essential and fixed oils.
