Magfiret Abdulveli Bozlar
Magfiret Abdulveli Bozlar completed her PhD at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the United Nations University – International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH). She earned her first degree in Uyghur Traditional Medicine in Xinjiang, China, and a Master’s degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She completed a 3-year fellowship program in Integrative Medicine, received certification from the European Medical Association (EMA) and AAH Naturlich, Germany, and became a lecturer in this program during the fellowship.
She has held multiple academic and professional positions, including Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Head of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Xinjiang Uyghur Medical College; physician at Uygur Medical Hospital; Research Officer at UNU-IIGH; Editorial Assistant for the Malaysian Journal of Public Health Medicine (MJPHM); and lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine. She is the Founder and Head of the Department of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, and she has served as Director of the Asia Pacific Health Research Center in University of Health Sciences.
Currently, she serves as the Head of the Department of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, the Head of the Public Health Department, and a lecturer at the International School of Medicine, University of Health Sciences, Turkey. Her research areas include Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Uyghur Medicine as well as Public Health.
To date, she has published 11 books and 35 articles in health and medical journals in multiple languages. She has attended and presented papers at national and international conferences and contributed to numerous national and international projects including the ‘MegaScience Framework for Sustained National Development in the Health and Medical Sector of Malaysia for 2011–2050,’ the ‘Implementation of Casemix System Using MY-DRG/UNU-CBG for Quality and Efficiency’ in Malaysia, Mongolia, Kenya, and Indonesia, as well as the ‘China National Doctors’ License Examination’ and the Assistant Doctors’ License Examination. She received the Malaysian International Scholarship and has been honored with several awards, including recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Malaysia. Prize Award for Oratory Contribution in “World Medical Contribution Prize” and “Best Dissertation Award” etc.
