Dr. Mehdi Pasalar is a physician and researcher specializing in Traditional Persian Medicine (TPM). He earned his medical degree at Fasa University of Medical Sciences (1996–2003), an MPH at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (2007–2009), and a PhD in Traditional Persian Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (2010–2014).
Since 2015 he has served as Assistant Professor at the Research Center for Traditional Persian Medicine and History of Medicine, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. He is also a member of the Health Policy Research Center (since 2010) and the Burn Research Center (since 2007) at the same university.
His work focuses on evidence-based herbal and Persian medicine approaches in gastrointestinal disorders (including functional dyspepsia and IBS), oncology supportive care, burn epidemiology, public health, and medical ethics. He has presented widely at international congresses (ECIM, GA, ICCMR, APNM and others) and authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on clinical trials, systematic reviews, and integrative care.
