Biography and Expertise of Prof. Lina Liang

Dr.Lina Liang serves as Vice President of the Eye Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. She is the recipient of the First National Outstanding Youth Contribution Award for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and a Dr. Kelman Scholar of the International Retina Research Foundation.With three decades of dedicated research, Dr. Liang has focused on the prevention and treatment of major intractable and blinding eye diseases through integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. She has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as key collaborative research programs on difficult ocular diseases integrating Chinese and Western medicine, supported by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has published more than 130 academic papers, edited and co-authored 9 monographs, and obtained 3 authorized patents. She has led the formulation of 8 international clinical practice guidelines for traditional Chinese ophthalmology. Dr. Liang facilitated the establishment of the world’s first overseas specialized center for traditional Chinese ophthalmology.
