Despite training as a lawyer, James Fearnley has spent the last 40 years researching and manufacturing natural medicines from plants and the beehive (natureslaboratory.co.uk, herbalapothecaryuk.com, beevitalpropolis.com). For 35 years he has focused on the remarkable properties of propolis, a natural antibiotic produced by bees.
Author of Natural Healing from the Hive (2002) and Propolis and Oral Health (2012); contributor to over 40 peer-reviewed papers on propolis. Projects include co-founding Bee Health Ltd (1990), Natures Laboratory Ltd (2002), ARC – Apiceutical Research Centre (2011), The Dispensary community health project (2012), BeeArc (2013), IPRG (2016) and ThreesCompany (2019).
