Dr. Hannia Bridg
Dr. Hannia Bridg is a Colombian-German life sciences scientist with a distinguished career in the German industry, combining a strong scientific foundation with extensive experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, clinical genetics, and tropical and traditional medicinal plant research. Trained as a biologist at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holding a Ph.D. from Humboldt University of Berlin, her early career was rooted in laboratory-based research, with a focus on phytochemistry and plant biotechnology.
Her career evolved from laboratory-based research to strategic roles in the commercialisation of life sciences innovations. She has built her professional trajectory within Germany’s industrial and innovation ecosystem, gaining experience across biotechnology, molecular biology, clinical genetics consulting, and industry-facing roles, including sales and market development.
As founder of Bridg-Networking Consultancy, she drives the positioning and commercialisation of life sciences innovations, connecting scientific evidence with market opportunities. She supports international market entry, strategic partnerships, and cross-border business development, with a strong focus on guiding German companies in their expansion into Latin American markets while engaging with high-potential ecosystems in the Global South.
In parallel, she works as a Project Manager supporting international scientific programmes at the European Society of Integrative Medicine, contributing to programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and scientific networking with a focus on societal impact and inclusive health innovation, in her capacity as a member of the Charité Competence Center for Traditional and Integrative Medicine.
She operates at the intersection of biotechnology, innovation management, and science diplomacy, connecting academic, industrial, and policy ecosystems across Europe and Latin America. She also serves as an Ambassador for Berlin Brain City, promoting Berlin as a leading hub for science and innovation across Latin America.
