PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Pharmacist–Biochemist with PhD and postdoctoral training in pharmaceutical and molecular sciences, with more than two decades of experience in research, development and innovation involving propolis and bee products. Head of R&D&I at Apis Flora and international scientific leader in propolis standardization, pharmaceutical technology, preclinical and clinical translation, and bee-product quality. Convenor of ISO Working Group 2 on Propolis since 2019, Chair of the Propolis Group of the International Honey Commission since 2024, and Board Member of the International Propolis Research Group since 2019. Co-founder and Technical Director of AgroBee, extending her work into bee-mediated pollination, sustainable agriculture and innovation.
CURRENT INTERNATIONAL & SCIENTIFIC LEADERSHIP
ISO – Propolis Working Group (WG2) — Convenor, since 2019; elected by ISO member countries. Leadership of the international technical work that culminated in the publication of the ISO standard for raw propolis in 2023 and ongoing work toward a standard for propolis extracts.
International Honey Commission (IHC) — Chair, Propolis Group, since 2024; leading the international collaborative project on the standardization of the propolis extract production process, in addition to contributing to international scientific and technical activities on bee products.
International Propolis Research Group (IPRG) — Board Member, since 2019; organizer/host of the 4th International Propolis Conference, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, 2025.

Apis Flora Indl. Coml. Ltda. — Head of R&D&I / Technical Leadership | 2000–present
- Leads research, development and innovation activities involving bee products, natural products, pharmaceutical and food technologies, analytical methods, stability studies, regulatory affairs and product pipeline management. • Develops and validates analytical methods and specifications for raw materials, extracts and finished products in accordance with national and international requirements.
- Leads formulation and process-development activities, including microencapsulation, nanoencapsulation, spray drying, fluidized-bed technologies and lyophilization.
- Coordinates scientific partnerships with universities and research institutions and supports preclinical and clinical research programs.
- Contributes to international standardization and regulatory harmonization of bee products, particularly propolis. AgroBee — Co-founder & Technical Director | 2016–present
- Co-founded a technology-driven company focused on assisted pollination and sustainable agriculture. • Leads scientific and technical strategy for pollination protocols, field validation and translation of bee activity into measurable agricultural outcomes.
